Family Health and Hygiene
Children are the future of development. We need for them to grow up healthy and strong and mentally acute if as adults they are going to contribute to the development of their communities.

Children in developing nations suffer from a half a dozen major problems that affect their growth and development. One of them is chronic diarrhea. It is easily corrected, but if not checked will conspire with the other problems make matters worse.

This problem is easily corrected through no cost activities. Awareness raising in family hygiene and in point of use water purification within a community can have an immediate positive effect today.

Once provided with clean water, children are confronted by other sources of contamination. Their clean water can be contaminated by dirty hands and dirty containers. Pets and human feet can track microbes into the house and deposit them on the floors that small children are playing on.

Carefully prepared food can be left unprotected and improperly preserved, and contribute to children's illnesses. Dirty kitchens and unsafe food preparation can further complicate children's health.

All of these challenges are solved with no cost solutions. The solutions are immediate and can have long-term positive impact on the growth and development of children as they become adults.
